Official Mobile Wallet Delivers Full Desktop Metronome Experience

Initially announced on our Telegram during an AMA with Metronome’s chief designer, Jeff Garzik, the Metronome team is proud to deliver the mobile version of the Metronome wallet. It is now available for download in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. After an intense round of audits — you know that’s how we do things around here — the Metronome community can now enjoy a greater range of Metronome capabilities on mobile.

Metronome’s Potential for Payments

Mobile support is an integral part of Metronome’s vision as a payment-capable, built-to-last cryptocurrency. Community members — and merchants — can transact with MET from anywhere their phone has a network connection, massively expanding Metronome’s reach.

This is an important next step for payment processors, stores, and other merchants for accepting Metronome as a form of payment.

However, there is much more to this announcement.

Metronome’s Unique Features, Now On Mobile

Building the mobile wallet with the same amount of functionality as the desktop wallet was a main priority during development. The desktop wallet provides a convenient way to interact with all aspects of the Metronome system. While community members could previously utilize third-party applications — like Jaxx — to store MET on a mobile device, they were unable to natively interact with the entire Metronome system. With the new mobile wallets, Metronome community members can now not only store their MET on a mobile wallet, but also interact with the daily supply lots and the autonomous converter contract directly from their phones.

Now that Metronome is fully mobile, download the wallet, use its features, and start thinking of how you can help grow Metronome’s network effect. Think you can make improvements to the wallet?
