Metronome Update — January 2020
Metronome Update — January 2020
This month the Metronome team announced an upgrade to chain hop confirmations, held the first meetup of the year and announced MET integrations on Bancor and Totle.
DEX Integrations
This month the team published an article outlining the DeFi case for Metronome. As part of the ongoing efforts to further unify efforts and build a stronger DeFi community, the Metronome team announced integrations with Bancor and Totle. Bancor offers a USDB/MET liquidity pool, and users can also collect fees by becoming a pool liquidity provider. Totle is a DEX aggregator that facilitates ERC20 token swaps across DEXs.
The addition of these platforms demonstrate that the Metronome team is dedicated to expanding on-chain liquidity which will be provided for MET. As these platforms grow and the DEX market becomes more popular, these integrations will become more valuable to MET holders.
Chainhop Upgrade
The cross-chain portability of MET is a unique feature for this token. Known as “chainhops”,
this feature allows users to move their MET holdings from the Ethereum to the Ethereum Classic chain, and vice-versa. This month a chainhop upgrade was implemented which reduced the chainhop transaction confirmation time from 24 hours to 6 hours. An upgrade to the speed of chainhops without compromising the security of the transaction is an improvement that the team is proud to bring Metronome users.
Community Engagement
From January 15–17th cryptocurrency enthusiasts around the world travelled to Miami, FL for The North American Bitcoin Conference. The Metronome team was in attendance and organized our first meetup of the year at the Miami Blockchain Center. At the meetup, Community Manager, Isaiah Jackson and Managing Director, Jordan Kruger, discussed the self-governance, reliability and portability of Metronome and answered questions about the project.
More to come,
The Metronome Team
