Metronome Minute: Jordan Kruger
Metronome is led by some of the most respected names in cryptocurrency: Chief Architect, Jeff Garzik, Chairman and co-founder, Matthew Roszak, and Chief Cryptographer, Peter Vessenes. This series gives a brief profile on the talented team behind Metronome.
Jordan Kruger is Metronome’s Project Manager. She has a strong background in research, data science and blockchain. She was recently named one of the 30 most influential and interesting women to follow in Blockchain technology.
Q: Jordan, what is your role in Metronome?
A: As Metronome’s project manager and data scientist, I ensure that the diverse web of talent and expertise on the project are working together seamlessly.
Q: What excites you most about Metronome?
A: Definitely the team. We have some of the brightest minds in cryptocurrency working on and advising for Metronome. Having this calibre of team allows us to think outside the box, then execute on those insights. Metronome is not built-to-last by chance, it is the product of deliberate, hard work by the many dedicated and passionate people behind it.
Q: What do you think has been the greatest challenge in bringing this cryptocurrency to life?
A: Ensuring the technology is ready and has been tested. Metronome is doing a lot of things differently, from auction to contracts, and making sure everything works perfectly at launch is vital for achieving Metronome’s vision.
Q: What do you hope will be the most used application of Metronome?
A: I hope that Metronome will be able to provide some relief for companies that might be interested in exploring crypto for payroll. Metronome will be able to do mass-pay, which is something that the Ethereum network cannot do currently, but will be cheaper to use than some other cryptocurrencies. Like many others on the Metronome team, I want Metronome to be used for its main use case–as a currency.
Q: Where will you be when the auction starts?
A: I’ll be in front of my computer watching the price beginning to tick down with my phone in hand in case any of the team needs me.
