Metronome Minute: Isaiah Jackson

In the Metronome Minute, we highlight the members of the Metronome team who are working hard to build the technology and community. Today’s edition announces our community manager, Isaiah Jackson, who starts today. Read more below.

What is your role on the Metronome team?

In July 2019, I published the book Bitcoin and Black America and discussed it on Anthony Pompliano’s Off the Chain podcast a month later. This caught the attention of Phil Gomes and led to me joining the Metronome team as the community manager. My past experience with co-hosting The Gentlemen of Crypto daily show and educating people about blockchain technology provided me with the skills necessary to take on such a dynamic role.

The duties for this position include engagement with the Metronome community, producing content about new developments, publishing tutorials for new users, and building a vibrant, global community.

What excites you most about Metronome?

The core values of the Metronome cryptocurrency align with the current excitement around DeFi. Many projects are presenting themselves as the new alternative to our current financial system but Metronome has the architecture to actually deliver.

The chainhop capability and the focus on security and endurance have impressed me as well. A blockchain-agnostic future allows users to hold their MET tokens and mitigate the possibility of losing them via chain-death. This is the future of the cryptocurrency market and Metronome is at the forefront.

What do you think have been the greatest challenges in bringing this cryptocurrency to life?

Metronome has a passionate community. I want to make it bigger and help widen its appeal to broader crypto, finance, and DeFi communities. In the cryptocurrency sphere, many projects have done great marketing without real technology or innovation to back it up. Metronome doesn’t have this failing. Once more users can see the benefit of self-governance in smart contracts, and Metronome’s use of this in particular, the community will continue to grow.

What do you hope will be the most-used application of Metronome?

The chainhop capability and advanced payment system are two features of Metronome that I think will be used the most. When Metronome begins to spread globally, users will need assurance that their cryptocurrency holdings are safe and as future-proof as possible.
